Sally Lloyd, RDH
Sally is a graduate from the dental hygiene school at Dalhousie University in Halifax, and is originally from Nova Scotia. She has been practising hygiene at dental clinics in Calgary for more than 7 years, after working at dental clinics in NS for 10 years.
Sally completed a Degree Specialization Program in Dental Hygiene through University of Alberta, where she has obtained her local anaesthetic certification.
Sally is certified to administer and treat patients under nitrous sedation, which is very comforting to nervous patients who have had difficult appointments in the past. *All dental hygiene facilities in Alberta must be registered with the CRDHA prior to initiating use of nitrous oxide/oxygen consious sedation equipment.
Attending and participating in continuing education is important to Sally, as is giving back to the community locally and globally. Visit some of her photos from the Dental Mission to Venezuela that she went on in January 2009 with KIA - Kindness in Action - a volunteer based service group in Alberta.
Owning a dental hygiene clinic in Calgary allows Sally to choose to be more involved with community service and pursuing dental hygiene research - in which she has a strong interest. Staying current in dental hygiene treatments and procedure is very important and required of all staff at Lifetime Smiles.
Sally loves to run, and combines raising money for charities with this passion by participating in causes such as CIBC Run for The Cure annually, and the Nike Woman's Marathon to raise money for Lymphoma and Leukaemia.
You can rest assured you are in good hands at Lifetime Smiles Dental Hygiene Clinic
